The ImageNation Soul Cinema
The ImageNation Soul Cinema will be the first in a chain of boutique cinemas dedicated to independent films from the African Diaspora. This unique venue will feature a soul food café, to be operated in partnership with the Soul Fixins restaurant, a 60-seat theater, office space, a Black Cinema Archive, Beta and digital video screening platforms and will be equipped for live performances.
The Soul Cinema will boast a lively social atmosphere and serve as a beacon for like-minded individuals who seek progressive cinema and music that highlight the humanity of Black people worldwide. With a support committee that includes Danny Glover, Lee Daniels, Bjork, Jonathan Demme, Damon Dash and Erykah Badu to name a few, this venue will draw patrons and bolster Harlem’s social scene through unique programming and strategic marketing.
